Jump Rope For Heart

Third grade students at BelAir Elementary reach their goal for Jump Rope For Heart and get to splash Mr. K and Mrs. Connot!  Those getting donations for the American Heart Association during Jump Rope for Heart had fun throwing water balloons at Wacky Duck (Mr. K) and Superhero Duck (Mrs. Connot).

Great Escapes Norfolk

Justice participated in the American Red Cross Great Escapes contest and was the winner from Bel Air. Her prize was getting to ride to school in a fire truck! In order to be considered to win the contest, she had to draw a plan of how to escape from a fire in her house. It had to include 2 ways out of every room and where all the smoke alarms were. Way to go Justice!

Muffins For Mom

BelAir students walked their moms into school on Tuesday morning to share muffins, juice, coffee, and some of their artwork with them.  Many smiles were seen as they visited.

Accelerated Reading Goal Met

BelAir students enjoyed time in bouncy houses as a reward for working hard and reading for Accelerated Reading this semester. All students worked together to make a goal that was set to read 6,780 books. Way to go BelAir Students!

Sergeant Chad Reiman Visits BelAir’s Second Grade

Sergeant Chad Reiman visited with Mrs. Myers’ 2nd grade class on May 7. He discussed the various jobs of a police officer. He gave examples of the types of calls they respond to. He showed students all of the tactical gear that he may have to wear, and students even got to try some of it on! Then he took the class outside to see his car. He turned the lights and sirens on, which was a highlight! The class enjoyed Sergeant Reiman’s visit and is very thankful that he came!

Talents Shared at BelAir Elementary

Many students look forward to the annual talent showcase at BelAir. Singing, dancing, piano, violin, guitar, wrestling, jokes, and magic were some of the talents shared.

Zumba

Bel Air Elementary School host a family fun night on Thursday, March 14. Students, parents, and teachers had fun exercising with Zumba.   Healthy snacks and water were served at break time.  What a fun way to get healthy!

Curtis Carlyle Assembly

Bel Air Assembly
Students at Bel Air enjoyed the entertainment of Curtis Carlyle. Curtis has done thousands of comedy juggling shows, national tours with Do Jump! Extremely Physical Theatre, a bronze medal in the International Juggling Association team competition, television appearances, and a featured role on Broadway in NYC. Curtis fuses world class juggling skills and fresh, innovative comedy, juggling, and audience participation.

Donuts for Dad

On Tuesday, November 20, Bel Air’s gym was filled with students and their dads or grandpas.  Many smiles filled the gym as everyone enjoyed visiting and eating donuts with orange juice and coffee to drink.
